Halifax was a short but sweet pit stop on my ten day trip out east. We arrived at the airport around 8 pm and Jill’s sister wasn’t coming in until closer to 11 pm so we decided to hang out and test some wines while we waited at Vino Volo. I can definitely recommend popping in here and testing some of the wines they have. We tried three different flights of wine and my favorites were from around Nova Scotia. I knew I was in for a fun week after that!
We decided to call it an early night and get some rest in preparation for the week that followed. The next day got brunch with some friends at quaint little vegan restaurant called Wild Leek. I again was feeling Asian fusion, go figure, so I had the vegan ginger sesame soba noodles and they hit the spot on the money. After brunch we cruised around downtown and check out the harbor. I would definitely like to return to Halifax at some point. It seems like it has a lot of offer. We caught a ride to Kentville, NS with Jill’s mom and aunt and on route we stopped shortly at Peggy’s Cove. A very eventful day of touring to say the least!
